The Digital Chamber awarded its first State Network grants to organizations from Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Utah, and West Virginia at the DC Blockchain Summit on March 17. The recipients were selected from a pool of 41 applicants for their proposals aimed at advancing education, policy development, and adoption of digital assets in their respective states.

The announcement highlights the growing importance of state-level initiatives in shaping digital asset policy and fostering innovation. Each organization will receive $2,000 to support their ongoing efforts within their communities.

Anastasia Dellaccio, Executive Director of the State Network, said: “TDC’s State Network is about empowering grassroots leaders that are advocating for smart digital asset policy at the state level. We have found the best way to support these local builders, many of whom are volunteers, is to provide funding that allows them to turn their policy initiatives into action. These leading organizations are on the front line of digital asset policy action in their states, and the contributions they make towards developing sensible policy solutions at the state level is critical to the future of the industry across the nation.”

Grant recipients include The Convergence Tech Policy Institute from Illinois, which plans to host a reception during the National Conference of State Legislatures summit in Chicago focused on technology and cybersecurity; Maryland Blockchain Association (MDBA), which will organize a major conference called Blockchain Bootcamp and participate in legislative efforts related to blockchain applications; Detroit Blockchain Center (DBC) in Michigan, which will use its grant as seed investment for its policy education track; Utah Blockchain Coalition, which aims to convene officials and advocates for discussions on blockchain trends; and West Virginia Blockchain Foundation, which will deliver workshops engaging legislators and community stakeholders across Appalachia.

The Digital Chamber’s State Network is described as a non-partisan program connecting policymakers, regulators, industry representatives, and innovators nationwide. The broader organization also includes CryptoUK, Digital Power Network (DPN), TDC’s Digital State Network, and Treasury Council.
