Today, Prisha Mosley, an ambassador for Independent Women and a detransitioner, addressed the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) workshop in Washington, D.C. The event titled “The Dangers of ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ for Minors” featured medical professionals, whistleblowers, and detransitioners discussing the harms associated with gender ideology and medical interventions. This discussion highlighted the Trump administration’s executive order to end chemical and surgical procedures on minors.
The workshop aimed to expose risks and false claims regarding “gender-affirming care,” especially its impact on children. Under section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act, which prohibits deceptive acts in commerce, the FTC can act against those misleading patients about gender medical treatments.
Prisha Mosley stated her gratitude for speaking at the FTC about trans medical abuse. She said: “This is the greatest medical scandal of our lifetimes. Doctors are selling patients snake oil—no human can change sex.”
Other participants included detransitioners and medical professionals from “Identity Crisis,” a docu-series by Independent Women Features (IW Features). Andrew N. Ferguson, Chairman of the FTC, remarked: “While not everyone who undergoes gender-affirming care will necessarily experience the same painful loss and regret that Prisha, Claire, and Soren have experienced, every young boy and girl, every concerned parent and guardian has the right to be informed of all the material information about the risks of these procedures.” He assured that following this workshop, a public request for information would be issued.
Chad Mizelle from the Justice Department announced nearly two dozen subpoenas issued to doctors involved in performing gender procedures on minors as part of an investigation into healthcare fraud.
Prisha Mosley shared her personal story as one of America’s prominent detransitioner voices. She holds her medical providers accountable for her health issues after being misled into thinking that transitioning would resolve her mental health struggles.
