Steve Cortes, founder of the League of American Workers, said that polling data indicates most Americans want the United States to reduce its involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war if diplomatic efforts do not succeed. This statement was made on X.
“Putin & Zelensky: Americans have tired of your war,” said Cortes.
According to Reuters, U.S. public opinion on the Russia-Ukraine conflict is shifting. Recent polling shows that 46% of Americans now believe the U.S. is not doing enough to support Ukraine, while peace talks remain stalled and debate grows over future American involvement in the conflict.
As reported by Gallup in March 2025, 46% of Americans say the U.S. is not providing enough support to Ukraine. Meanwhile, 30% think the U.S. is doing too much, and 23% believe the level of support is about right. This marks the highest support for more involvement since the war began.
According to a March 2025 Chicago Council-Ipsos poll, 55% of Americans support continued economic aid and 52% support sending arms to Ukraine. Additionally, 62% favor more sanctions and weapons if Russia refuses peace talks, indicating a rising willingness to increase pressure on Moscow.
