Steve Cortes, founder of the League of American Workers, said that recent actions to oppose wind energy subsidies and “Bidenomics” represent a triumph for those skeptical of renewable energy policies. The statement was made on X.
“To all the patriots out there — WE ARE WINNING,” said Cortes. “Ending the Left’s corrupt fantasies, overturning Bidenomics’ nonsense, bringing sanity back to the public square. Let’s go! See my doc: BLOWN AWAY.”
Congressional debates in 2025 over wind and solar subsidies have intensified, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. Lawmakers are divided over the future of tax credits, with industry groups warning that reducing support could jeopardize jobs and climate targets while raising concerns about grid reliability.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. wind and solar capacity reached 350 gigawatts in 2025. This capacity was supported by $36 billion in combined subsidies, which sustained more than 500,000 jobs and generated $90 billion in economic activity nationwide.
A report from the International Energy Agency in 2025 indicates that renewable energy investment in the U.S. exceeded $120 billion, surpassing fossil fuel investment at $90 billion. Renewables now provide 31% of the nation’s electricity compared to 59% from fossil fuels.
Cortes is also a senior political advisor to CatholicVote and a former senior advisor to President Trump and JD Vance. He has been a commentator for Fox News and CNN and regularly releases documentaries and columns at cortesinvestigates.com.
According to its official website, the League of American Workers was founded in 2022 to support U.S. workers by advocating for energy and economic policies that prioritize domestic industry, job growth, and stable transition strategies.
