Steve Cortes, founder of the League of American Workers, said that Hispanic voters broadly support immigration enforcement despite scare tactics from left-leaning commentators. The statement was made on X.
“Leftists like Wajahat Ali fail with scare tactics vs Hispanic citizens,” said Cortes. “We WANT immigration enforcement! We voted for it, in historic numbers.”
Recent polling and election results, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, indicate a growing share of Hispanic voters now support stricter immigration enforcement. Many cite border security and economic pressures as top concerns influencing their vote in 2024 and 2025.
According to Pew Research Center, Hispanic voter turnout hit a record in 2024. About 45% of Hispanic voters said they support stronger immigration enforcement measures, up from previous cycles. This reflects increased attention to jobs and public safety.
A 2025 Gallup poll reports that 45% of Hispanic voters now favor stricter immigration enforcement, compared to 32% of Black voters and 39% of White voters. This highlights a sharper rise in support among Hispanics than other groups.
