Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata extended her greetings and best wishes to fathers in American Samoa and beyond for Father’s Day. In her message, she highlighted the crucial role fathers play in guiding young people and setting examples for future generations.
“Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and grandfathers in American Samoa and everywhere. You have an important role in guiding our young people and being great examples for each generation, often quietly but with great impact,” said Congresswoman Amata. She also shared personal reflections on how her own father influenced her career in public service.
She expressed gratitude towards fathers across the islands for their dedication to family life: “Thank you to all fathers throughout our islands for your hard work and support in the lives of your families. You are loved, respected, and honored.”
The message concluded with two biblical quotes celebrating fatherhood: “Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children are their fathers.” Proverbs 17:6; “The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” Proverbs 20:7.
