The Atlantic Council, in collaboration with XRG and MGX, is set to host the ENACT summit on June 16 in Washington, DC. This event will gather global leaders from the energy, technology, and finance sectors to discuss the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), energy systems, and investment.
Prominent figures such as U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will participate in discussions about powering AI’s future.
ENACT is supported by XRG, a UAE-based global energy investment company, and MGX, a leading AI and advanced technology investor also based in the UAE. The summit aims to explore practical solutions for how these sectors can support AI development in a way that promotes growth.
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber stated: “AI is supercharging progress, but in doing so, it is also supercharging energy demand. By convening leaders from energy, technology, policy and finance, ENACT will connect the dots between sectors to help drive coordinated solutions that ensure that the era of AI has the power it needs.”
Ahmed Yahia of MGX highlighted the importance of reliable energy for AI’s expansion: “Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming the foundation of modern economies… We must collectively invest in core systems — power generation, advanced grid technologies, and high-efficiency compute — to ensure AI growth is sustainable.”
The ENACT summit precedes the Atlantic Council’s ninth Global Energy Forum on June 17-18. Frederick Kempe of the Atlantic Council remarked: “There is an unprecedented opportunity to leverage artificial intelligence as a tool for net-growth as we navigate the challenges of a transforming energy system.”
This event builds on previous efforts such as the ENACT Majlis held in Abu Dhabi. For more information about ENACT or registration details for related events, interested parties can contact Katie Kenney at [email protected].
