The Senate has passed the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) Act, a significant piece of legislation backed by President Trump. The bill will now proceed to the House for final approval. Club for Growth, an influential economic advocacy group, had issued a Key Vote Alert supporting the bill before the Senate vote.

David McIntosh, President of Club for Growth, praised the efforts of President Trump and Senate Republicans in advancing the OBBB Act. He stated that the act is a “pro-growth plan that will supercharge the American economy.” According to McIntosh, one of the key features of the bill is its prevention of a $4.5 trillion tax increase by extending and expanding tax cuts from 2017. The legislation also includes provisions for full expensing on capital investments and introduces federal school freedom proposals while aiming to reduce government spending through welfare reforms.

McIntosh emphasized the importance of swift action by urging the House to pass the legislation quickly so it can be sent to President Trump’s desk.

Club for Growth has been advocating for full expensing as part of this legislative package since May 2024. McIntosh has actively promoted these policies through media appearances and publications such as Fox Business and The Wall Street Journal.
