The White House announced on Mar. 9 several nominations for important diplomatic and law enforcement roles, sending the names to the Senate for confirmation.
The nominations include James Arnott of Missouri as United States Marshal for the Western District of Missouri and Jack Chambers of West Virginia as United States Marshal for the Southern District of West Virginia, both for four-year terms. Darrell Owens of Pennsylvania has been nominated to serve as U.S. Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, with the rank of Ambassador.
Juan Rodriguez of Florida is nominated to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Guatemala, while William Trachman of Colorado is nominated for the same position in the United Republic of Tanzania. Fleet White of Virginia has been selected to serve as Assistant Secretary of State (Political-Military Affairs).
These nominations will require Senate confirmation before the candidates can assume their respective posts.
If confirmed, these individuals will fill significant roles in U.S. diplomacy and federal law enforcement.
