A new poll released by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee shows JoAnna Mendoza leading incumbent Juan Ciscomani by three points, according to a recent announcement.

The poll, described as coming from Ciscomani’s own party, indicates that Mendoza, a first-time congressional candidate and former Marine Corps drill instructor, is ahead in the race. The release also states that Ciscomani has negative favorability and job ratings.

According to the announcement, Mendoza raised more than $2.4 million in the first quarter of 2026, surpassing Ciscomani’s $1.1 million. The report adds that Mendoza is closing the gap on cash on hand with $3.5 million in her campaign account.

DCCC spokesperson Lindsay Reilly said, “Juan Ciscomani sealed his fate when he caved to D.C. party bosses and voted to gut Arizonans’ health care, protect reckless tariffs, and greenlight a cost-spiking war of choice in the Middle East. Southern Arizonans are ready to elect JoAnna Mendoza – a tough, principled leader who will keep her promises and work to lower costs, protect public safety, and create good-paying jobs across communities.”

Further details about the poll results and campaign fundraising can be found in the organization’s press release.
