Former New Hampshire State Representative Linda Massimilla has been appointed as the new state co-chair for U.S. Term Limits, joining former State Senate President Chuck Morse in this leadership role. U.S. Term Limits is an advocacy group focused on implementing term limits at various levels of government, with a particular emphasis on Congress.

Representative Massimilla brings extensive experience in public service to her new position. She has served as an elementary school teacher, adjunct faculty member at Plymouth State University, and represented Grafton 1 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Her legislative work has earned her recognition, including the Women of Excellence Award from the National Foundation of Women Legislators and the Pollyanna Signature Award from her hometown of Littleton.

In accepting her appointment, Massimilla said: “I am honored to serve as the New Hampshire State Co-Chair for U.S. Term Limits and eager to work with Senator Morse on this issue. Now more than ever before, the need for term limits is crystal clear. Polls show that one issue that unites all citizens regardless of political affiliation is the need for congressional term limits. Over 80% of Americans want congressional term limits enacted at once to bring true reform to our government and end the dysfunction of entrenched ways that we see in Washington, D.C. daily.”

She continued: “When government ceases to work for we the people, the Founding Fathers included a constitutional amendment process to be used by the states to right the country. If the times we live in don’t warrant this usage, then when does?”

Massimilla concluded: “The Granite State is ready to stand and counted in the fight for congressional term limits.”

Philip Blumel, President of U.S. Term Limits, expressed his support for Massimilla’s appointment: “We are honored to have Representative Massimilla leading our efforts in New Hampshire with Senator Morse to pass term limits for Congress. Under their guidance, I am confident we will get our term limits resolution passed in New Hampshire.”

U.S. Term Limits describes itself as a grassroots organization connecting supporters with legislators and advocating for term limit policies nationwide.
