Steve Cortes, Founder of the League of American Workers, has called for the indictment and accountability of former CIA Director John Brennan. This statement was made on the social media platform X.

“Brennan is clearly nervous,” said Cortes. “He should be. Even before his crimes against Pres Trump, he was exposed as a serious criminal, hacking our own US Senate oversight committee, acknowledged by Dems! Indict him!”

Brennan was involved in a controversy in 2014 when the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee accused the CIA of spying on Senate staff computers during their investigation into CIA interrogation methods. According to The New York Times, Brennan initially denied any wrongdoing but later admitted to the breach and apologized. This incident led many Democratic lawmakers to demand reforms and increased oversight of the agency.

According to The Washington Post, major investigations involving Brennan since 2014 include the Senate’s review of CIA computer hacking, inquiries into interrogation practices, the 2017–2019 probe of Russian election interference, and a 2020 Justice Department review of intelligence procedures. Each of these drew significant media and congressional attention.

As reported by CNN, senior intelligence officials such as Brennan, Michael Hayden, and James Clapper have all faced high-profile investigations or allegations. However, none have been criminally prosecuted, illustrating a pattern of limited legal consequences for top U.S. intelligence leaders.

Cortes is also President of the League of American Workers and serves as a senior political advisor to CatholicVote. He is a former senior advisor to President Trump and JD Vance and has worked as a commentator for Fox News and CNN. Cortes regularly releases documentaries and columns at cortesinvestigates.com.
