A townhall event focusing on the future of abortion policy in the United States is scheduled to take place in Des Moines, Iowa, tomorrow. The event comes as the nation approaches the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade and changed how abortion laws are determined across the country.

The townhall will bring together several figures involved in pro-life advocacy and policy discussions. Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council, will be joined by U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, Bob Vander Plaats, president and CEO of The Family Leader, and Mayra Rodriguez, a former Planned Parenthood director and whistleblower.

According to organizers, the discussion will address whether protecting unborn life has become solely a state responsibility following the Dobbs decision and how pro-life voters may respond to political candidates who do not prioritize protections for the unborn.

The event is set for Wednesday, June 21 at 7:00 p.m. Central Time at Experience Church in Des Moines. It will also be streamed live online at https://prayvotestand.org/townhall.

A press availability with townhall hosts is planned immediately after the event for attending media representatives.
