InfluenceWatch, a project of Capital Research Center, announced on Mar. 20 several significant updates to its online database that tracks advocacy groups, foundations, and donors involved in public policy. The organization said the website aims to provide transparency into the funding, motives, and connections of these influencers.

The updated information is intended to help news outlets and other interested parties report on important topics that may not receive widespread attention from the public. InfluenceWatch describes itself as offering insight often neglected by other watchdog groups.

Among the new entries are America Votes Education Fund, which is described as a left-of-center advocacy group focused on voter registration and education. The group has received funding from organizations such as Future Forward USA Action, New Venture Fund, Marin Community Foundation, Tides Foundation, and Amalgamated Charitable Foundation.

Another addition is 10,000 Degrees, a nonprofit supporting low-income students in higher education. In October 2025, it was reported that 10,000 Degrees received a $42 million donation from MacKenzie Scott through her philanthropic vehicle Yield Giving. Its listed partner foundations include Bank of America Foundation, Marin Community Foundation, and Peter E. Haas Jr. Family Fund.

The Democracy and Power Innovation Fund (DPI Fund), also newly profiled by InfluenceWatch, operates under the Rockefeller Family Fund with a focus on building what it calls a “progressive multiracial democracy.” Its partners include Power Coalition for Equity and Justice and Color of Change; funders include NoVo Foundation and Ford Foundation.

Other highlighted organizations are Trustees for Alaska—a law firm engaged in environmental litigation—and Forward Together Wisconsin, an advocacy group founded by former Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes to promote energy policies at state and national levels. Forward Together Wisconsin recently hosted a conference celebrating the Inflation Reduction Act with support from several progressive organizations.
