The Heritage Foundation has announced that Katie Pavlich, editor of Townhall.com and Fox News contributor, will join the organization as a visiting fellow within the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy.
Pavlich expressed her enthusiasm for the new role: “I am thrilled to join The Heritage Foundation as a visiting fellow. At this pivotal moment for our country, I look forward to focusing my efforts on studying and defending Western civilization while contributing bold ideas to an institution committed to safeguarding America’s homeland security.”
In her capacity as a visiting fellow, Pavlich will advocate for conservative homeland security solutions and emphasize the importance of defending Western civilization.
Victoria Coates, vice president of Heritage’s Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy, stated: “It’s a great pleasure to welcome Katie Pavlich to The Heritage Foundation. She has been a fearless voice in defense of our nation’s sovereignty and a leader exposing the fecklessness of the Biden administration’s disastrous open-border policy. We are thrilled to have her join Heritage’s groundbreaking work on these issues.”
Lora Ries, director of Heritage’s Border Security and Immigration Center, also welcomed Pavlich: “I am excited to have Katie join our Heritage team. She hails from Arizona, so she brings a keen interest in border and immigration issues. She also aggressively stays on top of current events, has great insight into the inner workings of Washington, D.C., and can easily explain them through her great writing and speaking skills. Katie will no doubt elevate Heritage’s ability to educate and influence America on key national and homeland security issues.”
Pavlich is known for covering major special events, U.S. elections, foreign affairs among other topics. Her international reporting includes assignments in Israel, China, UK along with diplomatic trips with U.S State Department & White House.
She is an award-winning author with works such as “Assault and Flattery” & “Fast and Furious.” Her articles have appeared in various publications including The Hill & Pittsburgh Tribune.
Katie holds a journalism degree from University of Arizona; she held fellowships at several institutes like National Review Institute & serves on board at National Journalism Center.
