Family Research Council President Tony Perkins has responded to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in 303 Creative v. Elenis, a case involving free speech and religious freedom.

In his statement, Perkins said, “As Christians, we are instructed to do everything, including what we speak and how we work, as unto the Lord for His glory. We cannot check our biblical faith at the door of our vocation. That understanding of free speech and religious freedom has long been protected by the First Amendment. I am grateful that the U.S. Supreme Court strongly reaffirmed this today.”

The Family Research Council participated in the case by submitting an amicus brief supporting 303 Creative. The brief can be accessed at https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/21/21-476/226880/20220602102911906_FRC%20Final%20Draft.pdf?bcs-agent-scanner=ea445ced-c546-9542-8045-1bf99dfffb38.
