The Department of Government Efficiency posted a series of updates on its official X account in mid-February 2026, highlighting efforts to promote transparency and cost savings within government operations.

On February 13, 2026, the Department shared a post encouraging followers to listen to an interview with @jgebbia regarding collaborative opportunities: “Worthwhile listen to @jgebbia about impactful opportunities with the @ndstudio team.”

Later that day, the Department emphasized its commitment to openness in fraud detection. In a tweet dated February 13, 2026, it stated: “Maximum transparency. The general public can now help us detect the fraud.” This move is part of broader government initiatives aimed at increasing public participation in oversight and accountability.

On February 14, 2026, the Department reported on recent contract reviews and cost-saving measures. According to its post: “Contracts Update! Over the last 4 weeks, agencies terminated or descoped 273 wasteful contracts with a ceiling value of $5.1B and savings of $1.4B, including a $6.7M DHS consulting contract to ‘review the current organization, analyze findings, and provide industry best'”.

These actions align with ongoing efforts across various government departments to identify inefficiencies and reduce unnecessary expenditures by terminating or scaling back contracts deemed non-essential or duplicative.
