Club for Growth PAC announced on Apr. 2 its endorsement of State Senator Rick Brattin in the race for Missouri’s 5th Congressional District. Brattin, who is a Marine Corps veteran, business owner, and member of the Club for Growth Foundation’s 2024 Fellowship class, is seeking the Republican nomination to challenge incumbent Democrat Emanuel Cleaver.

The endorsement highlights Brattin’s conservative credentials and his record in state government. Support from Club for Growth PAC could play a significant role in shaping the outcome of the primary contest and subsequent general election.

“Rick Brattin is a proven conservative champion, earning a 90% lifetime rating on the Club for Growth Foundation’s Missouri State Economic Scorecard during his tenure in Jefferson City,” said Club for Growth PAC President David McIntosh. “In Congress, Brattin will continue to fight for tax cuts, school freedom, and limited government principles for everyone in the Show-Me State. Club for Growth PAC is proud to endorse Brattin in the race, and we look forward to his leadership on Capitol Hill.”

Club for Growth PAC is affiliated with Club for Growth Action, which it describes as the nation’s largest conservative Super Political Action Committee (Super PAC). The organization reported that its endorsed candidates won 79 percent of their elections during 2024.

Brattin’s campaign will now move forward with support from one of the country’s most prominent conservative political action committees as he prepares to compete against Cleaver in Missouri’s newly redrawn district.
