Washington, D.C. – Club for Growth Action has launched a new website criticizing Representative Andy Barr’s spending record and his opposition to the Trump Administration during his tenure in Congress. Alongside the website, the organization has aired two statewide television ads targeting Barr and has committed to investing significant resources to prevent his election to the United States Senate. Austin Horn of the Lexington Herald-Leader provided exclusive coverage of this development.

Club for Growth, known as a prominent conservative advocacy group, is determined to challenge Barr’s candidacy. The group stated it will spend “whatever it takes” to defeat him. It released an advertisement two months before Barr announced his candidacy and followed up with another ad shortly before his campaign launch. A recent ad features an interview where Barr referred to McConnell as a “mentor,” suggesting that Barr “will always be Mitch’s mini-me.”

The campaign against Barr is expected to continue with more actions anticipated.
