Catholic Law’s Office of Career and Professional Development, together with the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA), recently organized a career panel discussion for students interested in legal careers. The event brought together professionals from different areas of law to share their experiences and guidance.

The panelists included Haroon Anwar, Assistant Director at the Department of Justice Mass Tort and Civil Litigation Division; Yusuf Khan, Judicial Law Clerk for the Montgomery County Circuit Court who will soon clerk for the Supreme Court of Maryland; and Adrian Lee, Antitrust Associate at Wilson Sonsini. APALSA Vice President Garin Kim and President Niya Pattasseril moderated the discussion.

During the session, speakers addressed various topics such as career development, useful law school courses, mentorship’s role in professional growth, strategies to handle setbacks, and ways to cope with stress in both law school and legal practice. After the main discussion ended, panelists stayed to meet individually with students to offer advice and help them build professional connections.
