Alex Mealer has advanced to the runoff in the Republican primary for Texas’s 9th Congressional District after placing first in the initial round. Mealer, who is a graduate of West Point, a combat veteran, and a small business owner, received an endorsement from former President Donald Trump.

“Alex Mealer is a proven conservative fighter whose time in the United States Army and the financial sector make her the perfect candidate to represent Texas’s 9th Congressional District,” said Club for Growth PAC President David McIntosh. “Club for Growth PAC is prepared to invest the necessary resources to ensure Mealer wins the May runoff election and represents the district for years to come.”

Club for Growth Action and its affiliated Win It Back PAC spent more than $750,000 on advertising supporting Mealer’s campaign. These advertisements highlighted Trump’s endorsement of Mealer. A video ad titled “Dominance” was produced by Club for Growth Action to showcase this support.
