Sixty-two days ago, former President Donald J. Trump gave Iran a deadline to negotiate a deal regarding its nuclear program. This was intended as a step towards achieving a settlement, undertaken in good faith by the United States.
However, according to statements from the America First Policy Institute (AFPI), Iran used this period to advance its nuclear capabilities instead of engaging in negotiations. The AFPI claims that Iran moved rapidly toward assembling and fielding a nuclear weapon, taking advantage of what they describe as inaction by the Biden-Harris administration.
The situation escalated with Israel conducting targeted strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities and military leadership within the past twenty-four hours. The AFPI supports these actions by Israel, stating that Iran poses an “intolerable threat” to Israel’s existence.
The AFPI also expressed solidarity with current U.S. leadership in preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, emphasizing that Iran has been a source of terror against Israel and other nations.
In closing, the AFPI called for prayers for the safety of U.S. military personnel and allies engaged in operations in the Middle East.
